Natural clear brushed aluminum is an attractive substrate mostly used for indoor applications. This material is very popular for counter display signs, hanging plaques, and tacker signs. Also combining our transparent inks and embossing really add a visual impact to your sign. We stock .024 natural finish aluminum. But .032 and .040 are also available upon request. 

Flanging and hemming relates to how the sign is folded or bent. a flange is typically a 90 degree bend used for double faced signs, wood back frame signs, etc. Hemming is a 180 degree fold generally used for plaque signs with cardboard backer inserts. Scioto Signs can bend the edges of your sign many ways to achieve the desired results. 

For added strength and durability on larger signs, consider utilizing a wood back frame. Wood back frame signs are constructed with 1X4 treated lumber boards and are installed on the backside of the sign. They save installation time and are effective for roadside and building identification signs. The edge of the sign is flanged over and nailed to the wooden frame.
